When you notice that you fall into this zombie-mode, you need to take charge of yourself and just shock yourself out of it (it is not as bad as it sounds at all). One thing I have come up with is the “mental electrical shock”. What you do is, when you notice yourself falling into unconsciousness you immediately imagine movement in your head (I know that it sounds strange, but if you try it out and find a way to do it you will know what I mean).
