Nefiracetam is from the racetam family. It is being used with Alzheimer and dementia patients to stop amnesia. There are 15 different racetams.
It is not assigned an ATC (Anatomical Therapeutic Chemical Classification) code, so is still not listed in the ATC system.
The legal status in the US is still “Unscheduled.” The pharmacokinetic data and pregnancy cat. is largely unavailable as yet .
