Dirty mnemonic to remember the carpal bones?

We’ve all heard the popular one, Scared (New) Lovers Try Positions That They Can’t Hadle (Scaphoid [Navicular] Lunate Triquetrium, Pisiform, Trapezium, Trapezoid, Capitate, Hamate).

My A&P teacher said there was one so dirty that he would not repeat it to us for fear of losing his job. I’ve been wondering about it all day. So does anyone know?

By the way, I’ve already heard the ones listed on http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/English_medicine_mnemonics .

When I was doing biology in secondary school, my teacher also hesitated to use dirty mnemonics in the class room.
But, he gave us some hints and good explanations. He said bio-terms are hart to remember but on the other hand they have to remember by heart.
So, pnemomic are good and help to remember, he added.
He wrote on the blackboard for example, wrist bones to be remembered by this one….. ” Sam Like To Push The Toy Card Hard”.
He also explained why this way was good … firstly seems to be ambiguous and secondly a little vulgarly funny.
Both help us to memorising the facts….He said.
Neither he nor we were humiliated or felt it was wrong or bad word. It was purposely employed in order to help learning.
Now I am a teacher and a biologist and also a educator, and don’t think they are wrong to use.

Moreover, as a methologist ( got a university degree) I am also a great follower of such methods to teach through mnemonics. Nothing bad!

Here are some good sites for you……
