Memory Loss Migraines
What kind of dr. should I see a GI cocktail, the brain and cardiovascular problems to get a diagnosis?
During the past year I have had the following symptoms: digestive problems, migraines, numbness or tingling of hands / feet, muscle spasms, severe insomnia, fatigue, fainting and loss of short-term memory. He has had CT scans of the brain, Hydascan, sonograms, blood work, colonoscopy, endoscopy. Diagnosed with deficiency vitamin B12, high cholesterol and triglycerides (can not tolerate statins is therefore untreated), benign brain tumor (lipoma), nonalcoholic fatty liver, and brain hyperintensities. Taking vitamin B12 injections and Cymbalta for neuropathy, but does not help. I need a new document that can tell me if this is related – My doc can not or will not be disturbed. Any suggestions for what kind of specialist should I see? Thanks a lot – I'm so tired of living like this!
Hmmm … This is puzzling. First of all – Do you have a primary care physician? A PCP is supposed to manage a health of patients and make appropriate referrals if necessary and a PCP is supposed to help unite the symptoms to find the common bond and make a diagnosis. If you do not have a PCP high management attention, I suggest finding a new PCP who best can work with you to try to find the common link to all your symptoms. Second …. I used the terminology care for their symptoms listed and have been written to search engines in different groups, and this appeared a few times during my searches. I have idea if it fits all the symptoms, but since it was all that came up during the different groups of searches for symptoms, I thought it would links to you. Acute Intermittent Porphyria-http: / / www.porphyriafoundation.com/about_por/types/types01.html http://www.merck.com/mmhe/sec12/ch160/ch160c.html The his symptoms coincided with the AIP are digestive problems, paresthesia (tingling / numbness), (sore nerve neuropathy), muscle spasms, drowsiness (fatigue and sleep problems), neurological changes (loss of memory, black-outs). Another thing that seemed to match was the B12, as this seems to cause AIP malabsorption (inability to stomach / intestine to absorb nutrients), and fatty liver (it seems as if AIP can affect the liver). All this is based in my quick reading of the links I gave you, and read the article on eMedicine AIP (link below) that is written using a lot of terminology care. Http: / / www.emedicine.com/med/topic1880.htm not know if that helps or not. If not, feel free to let me know and I can do more searches for you.
