Memory Loss Facts

Possible causes of memory loss of about 4.5 hours? One time occurrence.?

A good friend of mine, the memory loss experienced. Some facts: He's been fighting very bad cold most of the week, hardly ate yesterday before the loss of memory (granola bar and soup) lack of sleep, the blood pressure medication, has recently lost weight due to a healthy diet. No trauma to the head. No emotional triggers. He was able to answer questions about themselves – name, address, telephone number. Remember the day's events, up to a point where nothing is remembered. Recalls events after that block of time. Similar to contrast himself during that time. Stocks conversation and tone of voice is out – this comes from someone who knows this person very well, very closely. My theory: the weight loss has naturally lowered blood pressure, resulting in taking a dose of medicine that is too high. This, along with the body fighting a horrible cold and lack of food caused a drop in blood pressure which affected the ability the brain to function properly. Is this possible?

It can be a black out caused by excessive drinking.
