Although I am a type 1 diabetic, I have had many episodes of extreme hypoglycemia and is very similar to a person who only has hypoglycemia, so I can tell you what I know: The level of blood sugar (hypoglycemia): This type occurs when you have not eaten for many hours, like overnight. It is often associated with excess insulin in the blood with some drugs, alcohol, hereditary problems with the metabolism of carbohydrate, and other health conditions. fasting blood sugar (also called reactive or postprandial hypoglycemia): This type develops within 3 to 4 hours eating. This may be caused by hereditary enzyme deficiencies such as galactosemia, or surgery to remove all or part of the stomach. Sometimes the cause is unknown. Fasting hypoglycemia within 1 to 2 hours after a meal (alimentary hypoglycemia) can occur when stomach contents empty into the intestines too quickly. If you have blood sugar caused by a chronic health condition, symptoms to be treated like those of acute hypoglycemia. Once you have recovered from the immediate symptoms, you will need treatment for the underlying cause of hypoglycemia. In many situations, once the cause is identified, new episodes of hypoglycemia is preventable. low blood sugar can cause long term that can be cured, as some endocrine disorders or diseases of the liver, the glands adrenal or pancreas. Some conditions that cause low blood sugar such as hypoglycemia food related stomach problems, may require surgery. Of effective long-term treatment of insulin-producing pancreatic tumor (insulinoma) usually requires surgery. Even if the condition is causing your hypoglycemia not curable, treatment often can prevent episodes of hypoglycemia. Talk to your doctor about whether you can modify your diet (what, when and how much), change the dose or type of medicine you take, or modify your physical activity (for example, when the skin and difficulty of the exercise). Symptoms include (under severe to most severe: nausea, feeling restless or nervous, cold and clammy, and a rapid heartbeat that can be very irritable, anxious, angry or confused. You may lose the ability to focus with regard to reading or testing, I've done wrong in the tests because of this. You may have blurred vision, are insecure and have difficulty walking. At this point of hypoglycemia, your speech may be unclear or no sense. Episodes of severe hypoglycemia can lead to loss of consciousness, seizures, and coma and may be fatal. It has affected my ability to retain information or remember past events. Brain cells die unless they receive oxygen or energy … this affects your memory. Doctors have yet to determine if memory loss is permanent or not. I have to concentrate more and more specifically myself to concentrate, so do not forget things later. The best thing to do: eat more complex carbohydrates and proteins containing foods. If you feel an episode of hypoglycemia, drink some juice or eat a chocolate bar, which will provide a quick release of sugar. If one is subjected to a hypoglycemic attack, while unconscious, not eat them. They may experience seizures. it is best to use an injection of glucagon Emergency Kit, which provides free glucose in the bloodstream. Check out this link:
