Everyone knows that the key to a healthy body is diet and exercise. Many people work obsessively every day to keep in tip top shape. Thus Therefore, if we are so concerned with the exercise of our bodies, why do often forget to exercise our minds? Our brains are like our muscles: the use or lose it. If we do daily activities to help keep your brain in top order, we lose important skills, particularly the ability to remember. So if want to remember the phone number of your mother, your shopping list, or where you left your keys, start exercising your brain.
So, How exactly exercising your brain? No brain gym can get a membership at with "memory classes, but there are things you can do on their own. Here are some things you can try to keep your neurons agile.
* Open a newspaper.
Of course, reading the newspaper could expand their knowledge, but if you really want to get your brain in shape, turn to the crossword. You can also try to solve the puzzles that require use their language skills. They help to remember things by making regularly access memories simple (ie certain words)
* Try the newest fashion puzzle.
Go to a bookstore, go online or look in the paper will likely find Sudoku puzzles. These are the number puzzles that are becoming increasingly popular. They help bring deductive reasoning abilities of your brain. They are also incredibly fun and addictive.
* Learn something new.
You've probably heard people say that learning something new pushes the old information from your brain. This is not only wrong, it's just dumb. The ability to your brain is determined solely by the amount you want to put in it. Try to learn a new skill or how to play a musical instrument. Learning a skill and follow keep using their access to fast memory skills.
* Books, games and services.
While not really the gyms you can go, there are ways obtain the exercises designed specifically to improve memory. You can find these in bookstores, online, and even in games shops.
While it's great to exercise your brain cells, do not skip out on their trips to the gym. Keeping your body in good physical shape will help keep your brain healthy too. While cardio is the best work to stay healthy, you can still keep your memory if you can not make an intense workout. Even a simple walk of a hour a day may help prevent or delay memory loss. So, to go as you can to keep your brain in motion.
