What is the best way to memorize medical terms?
So i have over 60 medical terms to memorize. Some of them will be on the final exam for me to get my CNA license. So how do you memorize a lot of medical terms?
I always have a lot of success by making a list with the definitions on the right and words on the left, then cover the definitions and try to remember the words. Then cover the words and try to guess the definitions and cross out the ones I know. You can remember a tremendous amount of words that way pretty quickly. And you can review a couple of times on test day and get 100%. I also try to associate something with the words, like a paramecium looks like a shoe a little, so I think para shoes, pair of shoes. lol And learn the latin meaning, and the endings, like oma in endothelioma, tumor. Many English words and endings are latin so you can guess or remember from the English words you do know. The endo is enter or inter or inside for many words.
