Emotion Learning Memory Brain Together
Electrical activity emanating from the brain creates the frequencies are called brain waves.
Brain wave frequencies measured in Hertz (Hz), ie, cycles per second. More cycles per second, the higher the value of Hertz. There are four categories of brainwaves, ranging from most active to least activity. These are: beta, alpha, theta and delta.
The first type is the brain wave beta brain waves. Ranging from 10 hertz to 30 hertz. Is detected in the frontal lobes (where decisions are administered), Beta is usually seen on both sides of the brain in the geometric distribution. It may be absent or reduced in areas of damage brain. It is generally considered a normal rate and tends to be the dominant rhythm in those who are alert, anxious or have their eyes open.
The characteristic mental beta brain waves is a committed mind, very alert and focused. Beta brainwaves are committed when the brain is awake or processing activities, such as conversations with others who share command your full attention, solving complex problems and evaluating situations. Beta is the activity fast connection, fast activity and tends to dominate the normal waking state of consciousness when attention is directed toward the outside world.
The second and well-publicized is the alpha brain waves. Alpha brain waves ranges between 7 hertz and 12 hertz. Alpha is usually detected in the frontal regions of the head, on each side the brain. This rate is seen when the brain is put to rest, day dreaming or deep self introspection -. Alpha rates are increased by close your eyes and relax, however, are offset by opening the eyes or any concentrated effort.
Alpha is the major rhythm seen in normal adults relaxed and often seen as the way common relaxation beyond the age of 13. Alpha brain waves move towards deep relaxation, imagination and intuitive thought, and Accompanying: a relaxed mind after complex thought in a way of relaxation, meditation and the development of attention of the mind itself, away from external distractions, the recovery of the thoughts of stress and emotional despair.
The brain activity of the day, is known as THETA and has a range between 5 Hz and 8 Hz, and is characterized mainly with light sleep, drowsiness, reverie, the first stage of sleep or "indirect" imagination and thought. Theta activity is not often seen in adults awake (unless participating in a meditation practice), but is perfectly normal for children warning of up to 13 years and in most sleep.
A Theta state can be regarded as a gateway to hypnagogic states that between being awake and asleep. Theta can often drag live flashes promote mental image as one brain becomes receptive to information beyond the mind awareness typical. Theta has also been identified as part of learning, memory and stress reduction.
The least known, but probably the most important Delta brain waves is a frequency of between 0.2 and 6 Hertz Hertz, who as you can LW as 1 cycle per month. Like a bass, Delta tends to be highest in amplitude and slower waves. Delta is often associated with deep sleep. Certain frequencies in the range of the delta, have been shown to activate the healing of body and growth mechanisms.
Interestingly, Delta is the dominant rhythm in infants up to one year, and stages 3 and 4 sleep without dreams.
Importantly, the brain does not function in a frequency range at any given time.
The four types are produced at the same time, however, at different amplitudes. A good analogy would be to relate each brain wave state to a sting on a violin. The four strings to make notes, however, one or more chains may dominate the overall sound at higher volumes.
The design of the system of brain evolution lends itself to many types of driving at a time, allowing you to drag a wide range of types of brain waves within each level.
